Community Reminders for Spring in Candelas

One of the benefits of living in a beautiful community like Candelas is that your District helps maintain a high standard for aesthetics. With warmer weather on the way and more of our neighbors spending time outdoors, we thought we would pass along some friendly reminders of ways that you can help keep your community beautiful.

Trash Can Storage: One way to help maintain curb appeal in our community is to ensure trash and recycle bins are stored out of view of the street and neighboring properties on non-collection days. Placing your bin out no earlier than the evening before collection and stowing it away by evening on the day of collection is a great rule of thumb and is certainly appreciated by neighbors and visitors alike! As a reminder, collection days are on Wednesdays each week.

Holiday Lights: Many residents love to decorate their homes for the holidays and we certainly encourage you to do so! However, we have found that sometimes decorations linger a little longer than they should. Please remember to remove all holiday decorations and lights within a timely manner.

Parking Guidelines: As nicer weather approaches, more of our neighbors are likely to entertain guests. Though we understand that may mean a few extra cars at your house, please refrain from using turf or rock areas as a place to park vehicles. Cars should only be stored in the garage or driveway.

Additionally, should you have any recreational vehicles (RVs, travel trailers, campers, etc.) that you are taking out on the road this summer, you can make use of the community streets for loading and unloading purposes. Please note that the loading and unloading period is limited to 36 hours or less.

Yard Maintenance: From time to time, changes in weather can bring changes in your yard landscape. Seasonal climate changes can encourage weed growth or result in plant or tree loss. Be sure to keep a careful eye on your yard at this time of year. If you see weeds starting to sprout, clearing them away quickly will help prevent them from spreading. Please remove any dead plants or trees from your yard as soon as possible to keep them from becoming an eye sore.

If you should have any questions regarding these or any other rules of the District, please free free to contact our office at 720-625-8080.
